Texas Exes Asian Alumni Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity.
Texas Exes Asian Alumni Network Purpose
#1 Increase opportunities for Asian Americans affiliated with The University of Texas at Austin to become successful
#2 Promote membership into Texas Exes & Texas Exes Asian Alumni Network
A) Have 300 active Asian American members in Texas Exes by 2011
i. Build an online database of members, utilize social networking sites, create a website, and build an online community
ii. Get individuals involved in committees (Strategic Planning, Fundraising, Policy, and Public Relations)
iii. Continue to reach out to current students and alumni for future goals
iv. Get members involved with city-based Texas Exes Chapters (Austin, Houston, San Francisco, New York, D.C, Dallas are the biggest so far)
B) Have an endowment of $25,000 by year 2012
i. Get a task force together to assemble a Fundraising Committee for the Texas Exes Asian Alumni Network (focus on student leadership & scholarship, teaching excellence, and a fund for the UT Asian community)
ii. Find a lead development director to help on behalf of the Texas Exes Asian Alumni Network
iii. Create a list of potential & influential donors
iv. Go for it!
C) Host a Texas Exes Asian Alumni Network Signature Event by 2010
i. Get a task force together from the Strategic Planning Committee to decide on what the event would be centered around
ii. Obtain needed resources to put the event together
iii. Have some fun!
D) Have a Texas Exes Asian Alumni Network Mentorship program by 2011
i. Get a task force together from the Public Relations Committee to find interested alumni
ii. Build up, brand, and market the mentorship program
iii. Have some fun and build connections!
