University to Launch Taiwan Studies Program

What do you really know about Taiwan? The University of Texas wants to help you learn more. Beginning in the fall of 2010, the Department of Asian Studies will offer a new undergraduate degree program in Taiwan Studies – one of the first universities in the world to do so. In addition to the degree program, the department will expand its graduate program offerings and areas of research. Asian Olympics, also known as Dai Hoi The Thao, is an annual event hosted by the Vietnamese Student Associations of three schools: UT-Austin, UT-Arlington, and Texas A&M. This year, the event will be hosted by UT’s Vietnamese Student Association on Friday, March 12 through Sunday, March 14.
